Red Bull launches official Premier Padel game
Padel is entering a new arena: Red Bull has announced Red Bull Padel: Court Legends, the first official video game licensed by Premier Padel. From 27 May, the title will be available free on iOS and Android – a move that extends the sport's boom into gaming.
From circuit partner to digital flagship
The launch is no spontaneous idea. Since February 2024, Red Bull has been a strategic Premier Padel partner, tied into broadcast, production and circuit sponsorship through at least 2027. Court Legends therefore reads as a logical extension of that deal – into gaming rather than live TV alone.
While many sports apps end up as quick store fillers, the announcement points to a more ambitious project. Red Bull is positioning the game as a serious extension of the Premier Padel brand, not a simple promotional mini-game. For the league, that means extra reach among younger audiences who often discover tournaments through short video and interactive formats.
Partnership as the foundation
The energy drink brand had already backed the circuit as a media and event partner. With the video game, the focus shifts from viewers to active users who play points themselves, run clubs and follow the climb through P2, P1 and Majors. That link between brand world and game mechanics is standard in other sports – but was missing in padel until now.
Gameplay built for real padel fans
According to the publisher, the experience should stay close to the real sport. The focus is realistic ball physics, interactions with glass and mesh, and padel's signature shot types.
- Lobs and volleys for pace and pressure at the net
- Viboras and smashes as attacking options
- Remates and drop shots for precise finishes
Tactically, the goal matches the court: take the net, build points and make the right call in decisive rallies. That targets fans who know pro patterns, not only casual players.
Mechanics in detail
Special emphasis is placed on interactions with typical padel glass and mesh, often simplified or omitted in casual titles. The range of shots – from defensive lob to aggressive remate – is meant to mirror real match dynamics. Dominating the net and building points over several exchanges should be rewarded, while risky mistakes carry a clear cost.
Career, club and circuit structure
Beyond single matches, Court Legends adds a management layer. Players can found a club, recruit staff, develop synergies and improve teams through training. The career mode follows the pro circuit hierarchy.
- Entry through P2 events
- Progression toward P1 tournaments
- Peak at the Majors
Arenas and backdrops are inspired by real Premier Padel venues. The game thus links sport identity with progression – a model known from football and tennis titles, but missing in padel until now.
In management mode, success is not only about wins but long-term development: fitting player profiles, training gains and team chemistry should separate a P2 run from a Major appearance. Red Bull is therefore speaking to sports fans and to players who prefer titles built around career and growth loops.
Growth without a gaming reference
FIP figures for 2025 cite more than 35 million players worldwide, around 25,000 clubs and over 77,000 courts. Despite that momentum, padel lacked an official reference game on par with established racket and ball-sport franchises.
Football has EA Sports FC as a dominant brand; tennis was long shaped by series such as Top Spin. Padel remained largely invisible in the major gaming market – a gap Red Bull now addresses with the Premier Padel licence.
The FIP cites more than 35 million active players, around 25,000 clubs and over 77,000 courts worldwide for 2025. Those figures show the sport is no longer a niche. An official game can reach audiences who discover courts through apps and streams before ever stepping on a real one.
Head start over Padel Rivals
The scene is also waiting for Padel Rivals from Spanish studio Krokanti Games, planned for PC and consoles in 2026. Red Bull, however, takes the first official licensed step for the circuit with a mobile Premier Padel title – a timing edge in a growing niche.
While Padel Rivals targets stationary platforms, Court Legends prioritises smartphones and the widest reach in free-to-play. Both projects can coexist, but the Premier Padel stamp lands first on Red Bull's title.
Free launch on 27 May
Red Bull Padel: Court Legends launches free on 27 May in the App Store and Google Play Store. For the sport, that adds another visibility layer beyond tournaments, social media and TV rights – and a clear signal that padel is growing on courts and on smartphones alike.
